Our ideology of young people actively present and participating in the pre and post 2030 agenda is unrivaled by the necessity for young people to be informed, skilled and readily active and participatory in the decision making processes of all developmental agendas.
The need for a participatory intervention approach in ensuring that youths; comprising of adolescents and young people are well informed, skilled and part of the decision making processes that affects their day to day lives, and those of their surroundings is likewise superlative to the need of having adolescents and young people at all designs and plannings, implementation, monitoring and evaluation phases of all development agendas.
The world is young! Over 26% of the world’s population is below 15yrs old, 28% below 18, with 16% between 15 – 24yrs old. In conclusion, over 50% of the world’s population is below 30yrs old, with 89% living in emerging and developing countries in Africa and Asia. See Demographics
